Berluti reinvents its iconic Shadow sneaker

The Shadow has become a staple of the modern man’s wardrobe since it first came out in 2019 – a faithful ally for men who live and breathe style. Now Berluti has given it a new spin, injecting more attitude into the silhouette for a bolder character that immediately catches the eye.

A nod to Berluti’s bespoke shoemaking heritage, the mesh upper is knitted with more than 384,000 stitches to form a supple sheath that glides around the foot like a glove, giving a contemporary and very architectural effect. Borrowing its lacing design from one of Berluti’s great classics – the Alessandro shoe – the Shadow has three pairs of eyelets that link its traditional saddlery lineage with modern sports style. Contrast detailing, subtle embroidery and patinated leather trim bring the design together with refined precision. 

The Shadow is designed to be an everyday go-to in any season, so it comes in a selection of materials suited to different weathers. There’s hard-wearing nylon for regular wear, fresh mesh or light linen for summer, and cozy cashmere for winter days.

In this spirit, the collection has been broadened with new colourways and variations, spanning 15 models in 9 colours from Saint-Émilion (a wine red) and Navy to bright white and a black, heightened with the Scritto pattern.
