After learning from his father Alessandro the intelligence of the hand through woodwork, Torello in turn passed on to his son Talbinio the art of materials — how to choose, understand and cut leather. Taught to Olga Berluti, who inherited it from a family of shoemakers, this artisanal savoir-faire continues to enliven the Maison’s bespoke and grande mesure workshops.
The same spirit lives on at the Berluti Manufacture, where cutters, assemblers, stitchers and colorists — to name but a few — work together, united by a shared pursuit of excellence.
