Remarkable elegance from head to toe – Berluti at the 2026 César Awards

On Thursday 26 February, 2026, Paris played host to the 51st César Awards, a major fixture of France’s film calendar, staged by the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma. This institution was founded in 1975 by Georges Cravenne to honour the art of cinema each year and underscore the deeply collaborative nature of filmmaking. Camille Cottin presided over this year's ceremony, which was masterfully emceed by Benjamin Lavernhe and recognized films released in France in 2025.

Berluti has dressed award-winning film stars for three years in a row, styling them from head to toe for the milestone moments that define their careers. Laurent Lafitte, who won Best Actor for his role in The Richest Woman in the World, made the bold sartorial choice of a navy mohair tuxedo accented with midnight blue satin, whose sheen played off his black patent Alessandros.

Brazilian director Kléber Mendonça Filho, nominated for the Best Foreign Film César for The Secret Agent, also wore navy blue, but in a sharper, more structured interpretation of the tux-and-tie combo.

Karim Leklou, presenting the César for Best Actress, made heads turn in his black three-piece tuxedo of sculptural elegance. A black mohair tie lent a velvety softness that contrasted with the bright white of his shirt, while black patent Alessandros brought the silhouette to a perfectly balanced conclusion.

Invited guest Antoine Reinartz opted for a monochrome take on the tuxedo – this time shawl-collared, and worn with a black shirt. Shiny patent loafers added a dynamic note to this otherwise restrained ensemble.
