Berluti inaugurates its new Milan flagship on Via Gesù

A few weeks after moving into its new home in a sensitively transformed 15th-century Franciscan convent, Berluti gathered clients and friends of the Maison to celebrate this new chapter in its history. This soirée paid tribute to the dual French and Italian heritage that’s been central to Berluti’s DNA ever since it was founded in late-19th-century Paris by a family of shoemakers hailing from Italy’s Marche region.

Guests first enjoyed a private tour of the new Milan flagship, which unfolds as a series of rooms showcasing Berluti’s wealth of savoir-faire, from the art of patina to the craft of shoemaking. At the end of the tour, each guest was gifted a special commemorative leather bracelet; crafted with offcuts from the Ferrara manifattura, these are patinated in a shade called Grass, the emblematic green of the club chairs set out in the different rooms.

The party then continued in the gardens of the Four Seasons Hotel Milano, transformed for the evening to give a genuine flavour of la dolce vita. While they mingled in this quintessentially Italian setting, guests were served a cocktail designed to channel the Maison’s signature style. 

For the night’s grand finale, Italian crooner Alessandro Ristori performed a set that transported his audience into a world of vintage Italian glamour. Notable among them were Jean-Marc Mansvelt, Berluti’s CEO, content creator and entrepreneur Hugo Philipp, and designer Carlo Sestini.
