The Maison unveils a new campaign celebrating its iconic Shadow sneaker

Berluti commissioned renowned creative director Beda Achermann to craft a campaign for its signature mesh sneaker, shot by photographer Roe Ethridge. This series of images captures the essence of the Shadow, as worn by three maestros of their art.

Launched in 2019, the Shadow sneaker is now Berluti’s top-selling shoe, popular among men who appreciate style and comfort in equal measure. As its name suggests, the Shadow is a discreet, yet constant presence.


This campaign highlights what makes it so special: how it feels almost like an extension of the body, natural and instinctive, and how its innovatively engineered construction translates into comfort at every step.


The Shadow isn’t just something you wear – it’s an integral part of daily life. It follows every motion, matches each moment of the day, and adapts to the tempo of its wearer. 

We see three distinct personalities, in their element, unguarded and relaxed within their own familiar worlds.


Each portrait grounds the figure in his surroundings, so his clothes, his setting and the overall atmosphere are totally in sync. “I wanted to capture the essence of three men, three complementary characters, to reveal the many facets of a shared essence,” says Achermann. “Each of them embodies his own set of convictions and unique creative energy. And in their orbit, the Shadow appears as a natural ally of charismatic men”. 


Three stars, three ways with shoes


Because no two people interpret a signature in the same way, the campaign highlights three figures, three incarnations of style, three different ways of inhabiting light and shadow.
