Products Made to Last

We believe in creating enduring pieces that bring pleasure for many, many years. They grow more beautiful with time and care, and our artisans' expertise helps maintain their lasting appeal.

A Berluti piece doesn’t simply weather the seasons, it acquires a patina of character that will make it desirable for generations to come. All our footwear, leather accessories and garments are designed to last a lifetime – and beyond. Our select leathers and exclusive tanning processes, the 250 separate operations involved in crafting a pair of bespoke shoes, and our master shoemakers’ expertise all combine to lend Berluti products a nobility that's to be cherished.

An Invitation to Care

Maintenance is a ritual at Berluti. Whether you do it at home, guided by online tutorials, or bring your pieces in-store once a year for some expert TLC, regular care will ensure the leather stays strong and gleaming. We offer each client a first patina free of charge to extend the lifespan of your shoes – an elegant ritual of beauty that helps enhance their character over time.

Combating Throwaway Culture

96% of Berluti’s current products – spanning footwear, leather goods and clothing – can be mended. We offer dedicated repair services, such as resoling for Playtime sneakers (since 2023) and restoring for the Fast Track (since 2025). In July 2025 the Maison extended its know-how to mending garments as well – with a textile and leather repair service encompassing restitching, alterations and leather care – thus bringing our entire range under a unified sustainability framework.

Berluti is also partnering with VALO to implement responsible end-of-life management for its products, facilitating their reuse in the form of donations, upcycling and recycling.

A second life for a second chance

On 1 January 2022 France enacted a law known as AGEC (Agir contre le Gaspillage et pour l’Économie Circulaire), which forbids the practice of destroying unsold non-food products. Through our partner WeTurn’s end-of-life product management platform VALO, Berluti optimises the flow of unsold pieces towards key players: the logo is removed at an ESAT (Établissement et Service d'Aide par le Travail, an employer of people with disabilities), donations go to charities such as La Cravate Solidaire, while other items undergo recycling or upcycling to transform them into something new.

This has both environmental and social benefits, supporting these charities in their mission to assist people back into employment.

The Maison aims to leverage the experience gained in France by rolling out this approach to all the other countries we operate in by 2030.

Donations That Help People into Work

La Cravate Solidaire is a French charity network that promotes equal opportunities by combating discrimination in job recruitment. Volunteers help jobseekers rebuild their confidence by offering guidance on navigating the workplace culture.

Berluti passes on a proportion of its unsold items to this charity (after removal of the logo), to support its operations and contribute to helping its clients back into employment. Other solidarity initiatives will be set up outside France in due course.

Tissons la Solidarité brings together 70 social enterprises in France that offer jobs and training to help people back into work. The organisation’s chief focus is collecting, sorting, transforming and selling secondhand clothes, and it currently has almost 1,900 people enrolled in its programmes, 83% of whom are women. This is the network Berluti has chosen to upcycle a proportion of its unsold products. Following a successful initial trial in 2021, the amount of unsold items and used store uniforms that are recycled or upcycled will rise to 50% by 2026.
